Men’s Archery Team Faces Off in “Final Showdown” With Comedian Kim Min-kyoung

On December 18, Hyundai Steel released a video titled “Final Showdown”, featuring the company’s Men’s Archery Team and comedian Kim Min-kyoung on its official YouTube channel.

In an effort to cultivate a positive corporate image, Hyundai Steel invited the comedian Kim Min-kyoung, widely known as the “Slapstick Entertainment Queen,” to take part in a video collaboration with the Hyundai Steel Men’s Archery Team.

Kim Min-kyoung has captured public attention by showcasing her talent for various sports on many entertainment programs. In fact, last year, she participated in the national team selection competitions and was officially designated as a national representative in the sport of shooting, earning widespread recognition as the “Iron Lady.”

Moreover, the Hyundai Steel Men’s Archery Team has been at the forefront of men’s archery in Korea for the past 30 years, and stands as an invincible team that has produced gold medalists in three consecutive Olympic Games (2012, 2016, and 2021), making them the first in the world to achieve this remarkable feat.

The video collaboration between Hyundai Steel Men’s Archery Team and Kim Min-kyoung showcases unique archery challenges in different entertaining formats. The sense of humor of the participants and the unexpected situations that unfold throughout the preparation and the games themselves enhances the enjoyment of the video. The highlight of the match involved the contestants competing to hit a 1.5 cm-sized “almond” target – the outcome of the contest being revealed only in the video.

Along with a full-length version lasting 30 minutes, this video series is composed of a total of 13 episodes, including 8 short-form videos that include highlights from the “unique challenge”, a video for each archery event (recurve, compound), and a behind-the-scenes story.
