Red Angels Ranked First Among All Women’s Football Clubs in Asia by the IFFHS

Hyundai Steel’s women’s football team, the Red Angels, was ranked first among all the women’s football clubs in Asia for 2022 by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

Established in 1984, the IFFHS records and preserves international football history and statistics. Since 1991, the federation has annually ranked football teams all around the world based on the results of domestic leagues and international competitions.

According to the IFFHS rankings, the Red Angels ranked first in Asia with the highest number of points (114 points), edging Gyeongju KHNP (111 points). Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds and INAC Kobe tied for third with 105 points each.

The Red Angels previously made headlines by winning both the 2022 WK League regular season title and postseason championship, marking an incredible streak of 10 consecutive titles.
