On April 26, the Hyundai Steel women’s soccer team, the Red Angels, had an impressive showing at the opening game of the WK League by scoring seven goals against Seoul City, with Jung Seol-bin claiming a hat trick.
In the first half, she scored a penalty goal and later scored a second goal by catching a pass from Jang Seul-gi. In the second half, Jung completed her hat trick by shooting the ball off a crossbar shot by Nenem (Brazil). Hyundai Steel won 7:0 with additional goals scored by Lim Seon-joo, Jang Sel-gi, Kang Chae-rim, and Choi Yu-ri. Coach Kim Eun-sook said, “This is our first match in 4 to 5 months after the players wrapped up the previous season. This is the first time in my 10 years of coaching that my team has won by this much in the opening game. I believe this is the result of the hard work done by each player in their respective position and I’m grateful for it.”
