Launch of Technical Information Sharing Platform

On September 1, Hyundai Steel launched its Technical Information Sharing Platform.

Designed to give employees ready access to in-house databases, the platform is expected to reduce the amount of time employees spend looking for information, thereby improving work efficiency.

The Technical Information Sharing Platform has four main categories or functions: “Organized information,” which allows employees to share technical materials that they’ve created and are stored on their computers; “Keeping information,” for the sharing of externally sourced materials; “Ask & Answer,” a Q&A feature for all kinds of work-related inquiries, from technical terminology definitions to technical inquiries requiring expert knowledge; and “whY,” which allows users to make technical improvement and problem-solving suggestions. As a nod to the platform’s key functions, the new Technical Information Sharing Platform has been nicknamed the “OKAY Platform.”

The Technical Information Sharing Platform offers users a variety of search options, including “trend searches,” and is designed to improve the overall user search experience. Operated by the Technical Strategies Team, the platform is expected to create tangible value for Hyundai Steel employees by providing them with instant access to the technical information they need for work-related tasks.
