The “H-Way Shining Road” project is a social contribution initiative with the aim of providing a safe pedestrian environment, not only for vulnerable pedestrians such as children and the elderly but also for the general public. It involves installing LED floor pedestrian signals and luminous signposts at crosswalks. The project utilizes funds raised by the staff of Incheon Works. In 2024, the project was operated with the funds collected in the previous year, amounting to USD 32,000.
“We will engage in various activities aimed at promoting pedestrian safety, preventing traffic accidents, and contributing to the creation of a safe and sustainable Dong-gu in Incheon. Our goal is to foster a culture of safety,” Incheon Production Head Yang Jong-oh remarked.
Hyundai Steel plans to support the H-Way Shining Road project for four years (until 2027) using staff funds. The initiative will not only focus on the Incheon area but also on key crosswalks near the company’s worksites in Dangjin, Pohang, and Suncheon.
