Hyundai Steel was ranked in “Top 1%” in S&P Global’s Sustainability Index, earning the steelmaker a spot in its Sustainability Yearbook.
On July 18, S&P Global Ratings held its 2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment at The Plaza Hotel in Seoul, at which the global credit rating agency presented commemorative plaques to companies selected as members of its Sustainability Yearbook.
Out of more than 9,400 companies evaluated across 62 industries, only 66 were ranked in the Top 1%, with six of them being Korean firms. Hyundai Steel earned the highest Sustainability Index score (80/100) of the 118 companies in the “steel” industry category, earning the prestigious Top 1% recognition.
