Hyundai Steel Holds 57th General Shareholders’ Meeting

On March 23, Hyundai Steel announced that it had held its 57th general shareholders’ meeting at Best Western Harbor Park Hotel in Incheon, and had appointed President & CEO An Tong-il and managing director Lee Jae-hwan to its board.

At the meeting, Senior Researcher Hong Gyung-tae of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and Professor Park Ji-soon of Korea University School of Law were named as outside directors. The company described the rationale behind the appointments as “continuing business reform, increasing the funding of new businesses for future growth, responding to future steel industry trends, and developing successful labor-management relations.” Financial statements of USD 18.76 billion in sales, USD 2 billion in operating profit, and USD 1.24 billion in net income were approved on the day, with a USD 0.82 cash dividend per share being set.
