Hyundai Steel’s Dangjin Integrated Steelworks, in support of the right of the children of Dangjin to play, is in the process of installing digital clocks at five playgrounds throughout the city.
The idea of installing digital clocks was proposed by the “Citizens’ Group for the Investigation of Playground Environments” and the “Children’s Protection Activists’ Camp,” based on ideas and feedback presented by local children. Hyundai Steel, the city of Dangjin, and Save the Children are working together to complete the installation of the clocks by mid-May. This project, which coincides with other efforts by the city of Dangjin to create child-friendly environments, is expected to make the playgrounds safer and more child-friendly by enabling children to keep track of time so they can head home at the right time.
