On April 6, at Steel Square on the 9th floor of its Pangyo office, Hyundai Steel held a two-day kickoff ceremony marking the 3rd generation of the Future Board.
The Future Board is a communication group within Hyundai Steel that aims to create a flexible organizational culture by making strategic changes to management practices throughout the company and by motivating staff through new initiatives.
Unlike previous years, eligibility for the 3rd generation of the Future Board was limited to managers and senior researchers, with a total of 16 people selected companywide. With COVID-19 now at the endemic level, board meetings will be held offline again starting from this year.
Hyundai Steel President & CEO An Tong-il and the Head of the Business Management Division, Seo Sang-weon, attended the ceremony and presented appointment letters to the selected members, urging them to actively engage in the activities of the Future Board for the fostering of a new corporate culture.
Future Board members not only received “Design Thinking Training” to stimulate new ideas but also drafted the “Hyundai Steel Ground Rules.” The board members will continue to work on the ground rules and officially announce their final version of the “Hyundai Steel Ground Rules” later this year.
Meanwhile, following its inaugural ceremony, the Corporate Culture Team, which oversees the Future Board, plans to hold three workshops and a final reporting session within the year. The team will focus on nurturing corporate culture leaders through training centered on positive experiences (fun activities) and problem-solving.
