Dangjin Steelworks Hosts Field Day for Children With Disabilities

On October 19, Dangjin Integrated Steelworks held the “Haram Family Field Day” with children from the Haram Daycare Center.

This field day was prepared for children with disabilities who have largely been unable to play outside due to COVID social distancing policies.

There were about 120 participants in the field day, including Vice President of the Blast Furnace Business Division, Park Jong Sung, and the Priming Water Housewives Volunteer Group, as well as children and their families from the Haram Daycare Center.

Various programs were prepared for the field day, including experience activities, sports, and a talent show.

Bubble blowing and a photo zone were prepared for the experience activities. The family photos taken in the photo zone were immediately framed and gifted to the families. Sports programs included racing, large ball rolling, and a ball pit survival game that could be enjoyed by the children along with their families.

A bubble show was also prepared for the children, who have recently had little opportunity to view performances due to restrictions on their external activities.

“We always look forward to seeing Hyundai Steel staff and the Priming Water Housewives Volunteer Group, who visit regardless of the season, like Santas dressed in blue. We hope that today’s field day will become a precious memory for the children and their families,” said the director of the Haram Daycare Center.
