Oriental Arborvitae Tree Planting Event Held at Incheongyo Bridge

Incheon Works recently held the “Creating a Greener Dong-gu” event, in which 200 Oriental arborvitae trees were planted on the Incheongyo Bridge green belt in Dong-gu, Incheon.

In attendance were Incheon Works production director Yang Jong-o, Dong-gu mayor Heo In-hwan, head of the Incheon branch of the Community Chest of Korea Cho Sang-bum, and Chairperson of the Incheon Metropolitan City Social Welfare Association Lee Myung-sook.

The event was prepared for the 77th Arbor Day to create a greener and more comfortable Dong-gu area.

Hyundai Steel signed a contract with three organizations to create the shared forest for Dong-gu residents, and used the KRW 44 million raised by Incheon Work employees to launch the 200 Orient arborvitae tree planting event.

During the event, a “Tree Sharing Campaign” was also launched, in which 350 royal azalea trees and 350 cape jasmine trees were given out.

“The Creating a Greener Dong-gu event is meaningful as it reduces fine dust, purifies the local environment, and provides a space where local residents can relax. We will continue to be a company that helps our local communities,” said Director Yang Jong-o.
