Hyundai Steel to Release “Motion Graphics” Videos About Eco-friendly Endeavors

Hyundai Steel revealed on March 15 that it had produced a series of easy-to-understand videos about its vision of eco-friendly steelmaking and what it’s doing to realize it.

The videos, on topics such as the world’s first eco-friendly blast furnace safety valve, Hyundai Steel’s vision of a hydrogen society, and steel recycling, will be released one at a time. The videos use “motion graphics,” an animation-based video production technique for depicting a wide range of movements, to help everyday people understand the concepts involved in steelmaking that can be somewhat hard to grasp.

The first video to be released, about blast furnace safety valves, will educate viewers on how Hyundai Steel developed a technology that intercepts harmful blast furnace gases at the source for both safety and atmospheric pollution prevention. Other videos in the series are set to be released during the first half of this year.
