The LACP Vision Awards is an event where the League of American Communications Professionals, an international authority in marketing research, competitively judges annual reports and sustainability reports. Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards are given out by the LACP. In the latest event, some 1,000 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations of 20 countries took part.
“2020 Beyond Steel” received a full score in 6 out of 8 criteria (first impression, cover design, CEO message, overall structure, financial report, creativity, accuracy, delivery) in the category of integrated reports. The Gold Award was secured with a final score of 98 out of 100.
Since 2016, Hyundai Steel has been releasing an integrated report, which combines a sustainability report and an annual report, for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) transparency. The integrated report awarded at the latest LACP Vision Awards was organized around mid- to long-term sustainability strategies, which included optimizing key ESG achievements to accommodate the demands of stakeholders and disclose social values as quantitative data.
A Hyundai Steel spokesperson indicated that the team at Hyundai Steel was elated that the integrated report on its sustainability efforts was given positive recognition, and that it will try to communicate even more effectively with stakeholders through such reports in the future.
