This year’s awards mark the 6th time Hyundai Steel has been honored at the event, after winning the New Participation Award in 2012. The company continues to be publicly recognized for its greenhouse gas and environmental management and is known as a frontrunner of greenhouse gas reductions and climate change response.

The CDP is a nonprofit organization established in 2000 in London that evaluates the climate change response strategies, greenhouse gas emission data, and reduction plans of major companies from 92 countries and presents its results to financial organizations around the world. These results are considered to be the most reliable sustainability management index in the world, according to the international public opinion research institute, GlobeScan.
